Wax Melts vs Candles

Fire Safety and "Set-and-Forget" Convenience

The most significant advantage is the absence of an open flame.

Reduced Fire Risk: Without a flame, there is no risk of a curtain catching fire or a pet knocking over a lit candle.

Automatic Shut-off: Many electric wax warmers come with timers or auto-shut-off features, making them safer for people who might forget to "blow out" their fragrance before leaving the house or going to sleep.

Candles have an open flame which is inherently a fire risk. The National Fire Protection Association estimated that from 2014-2018, fires related to candles caused an estimated $278 million in direct property damage.

Our scented wax melts have no flame when used with an electric warmer. There are plenty of UL listed

warmers available for every taste or decoration. Most warmers can add to your home’s style and emit soft lighting to add ambience to your home.

This also means that Wax Melts are safer around children, pets, and for our Firefighters and their families.

Wax Melts are More Versatile with Superior Scent Throw and Control

Wax melts are designed to hold a higher concentration of fragrance oil than traditional candles.

Stronger Fragrance: Because they aren't restricted by a wick's ability to pull wax upward, manufacturers can pack more fragrance into the melt, often resulting in a stronger "scent throw."

Customizable Intensity: You can easily control the strength of the scent by adding or removing peices from the warmer dish. You can even mix different scents (like vanilla and coffee) to create your own custom blends.

Candles have been banned in many apartments, town-homes, and office buildings across the U.S. due to fire risk. Scented candle melts are generally allowed in these spaces as they contain no open flame.

Scented wax melts are easier to store, take up less space and it’s easy and convenient to swap out your scent to a new one.

Better Value and Longevity

In terms of cost-per-hour, wax melts are generally more economical.

Slow Release: A single wax cube can often provide 8 to 12 hours of fragrance. Since the wax itself doesn't evaporate (only the scent oils do), the material lasts longer.

Reusable: If you only want a scent for an hour, you can simply turn off the warmer. The wax will solidify, and you can melt it again later until the fragrance is completely gone.

Elimination of Soot and Smoke

When a candle burns, the combustion of the wick and wax produces smoke and carbon soot, which can discolor walls, furniture, and ceilings over time. Over time, candles can produce enough soot to discolor walls and curtains. With scented wax melts, you avoid this entirely.

Cleaner Air: Wax melts do not "burn"; they only melt. This means they don't release the dark soot or smoke particles that can irritate the respiratory system or trigger allergies.

No Wick Trimming: You don't have to worry about "mushrooming" wicks or debris falling into the wax pool.

Customize your Scent

Did you know that you can mix different complementary wax melt fragrances? You can create your own custom scented wax melts and have fun with it!
